Computer Networks Engineering

About the Branch
The computer networks engineering is considered as one of the modern and attractive field. This field is adopted in the recent smart technologies in terms of data transmission and exchanging applications. Most of the database systems are built on network technologies, which consider different protocols and hardware designs. In addition, the computer network has been adopted in the 3G and 4G Mobile Systems, As well as in the remote controlled applications.

Vision
The aim of this program is to be objective and consistent with the rapid changes in the field of computer networks theortically and practically, which increases the quality of our graduated engineers. Another goal for us is to have quality of educational outputs that meet the local and international labor market.

Mission

  1. Prepare network engineers who are able to prepare and design all types of networks.
  2. Teaching modern and advanced curricula in the field of computer networks.
  3. Providing high quality modern research that can be applied in the field of computer networks and the Internet .
  4. Supporting all the iraqi ministries as well as private sector by providing. appropriate solutions to the problems of design and installation of networks.

Goals and Objectives

  1. Enable the students to apply their knowledge and skills in the field of computer network in order to  find practical solutions to any problems in this field and to be able to make appropriate decisions in the field of work.
  2. Make professional engineers who able to create successful teams.
  3. Help graduated students to gain lifelong learning and strong background that help them to accomplish professional abilities.

Program Educational Objectives
The program educational objectives of computer network engineering are:
Objective 1: Enable the students to apply theoretical skills in the computer network to find practical solutions to problems and the ability to make appropriate decisions in the field of work.
